Homework/ How can you help your child at home? | We value your role and look forward to working in partnership with you. Here are some ways you can become involved in your child’s learning experiences and help build a unique link between home and school:
|
Reading Expectations | We listen to each child read at least once a week individually and also in a Guided Reading group. We ask that children bring their reading book to school EVERYDAY. We would encourage you to read daily with your child at home.
At Pengelli we use also use Reading Eggs. This can be accessed at home to support and develop their reading skills. |
P.E. Days | We have 2 PE sessions a week – Tuesday & Friday Children are asked to come to school dressed ready for PE on these days. PE sessions may be outdoors so please come dressed appropriately.
|
ICT | All children have a school Hwb account. We also regularly use Sumdog and Reading Eggs in class.
Children are issued with passwords for all of these and can be accessed at home as well.
|
| |
Snack | Pengelli is a Healthy School therefore children are asked to have a healthy snack at break-times PLEASE DO NOT SEND NUTS IN AS WE HAVE SEVERAL CHILDREN WITH NUT ALLERGIES IN THE SCHOOL
Children are provided with a piece of fruit daily at afternoon break time. Fruit costs £1 per week. You are welcome to pay weekly, half-termly or termly.
Water bottles to be brought in daily and taken home for washing.
